It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they aredoing!Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for all aspects of manufacturing processes for assigned areas ofmachining including development, validation, maintenance and improvement of;New NC programsNC program revisionsFixturing and toolingStandard Work (Process Sketches, In-Process Inspection Plans, ProcessNotes, etc.)BOM and shop floor routingsLead analysis of manufacturing costs in support of strategic Make/Buydecision making.Key participant in executing all aspects of production traceability andconfiguration control including changes/corrections to bills of materials,shop-floor routings, technical work instructions, NC programs andinspection and test plans.Key participant in the NCM (Non-Conforming Material) disposition process.Lead investigation, root cause analysis and implementation of correctiveactions related to significant internal issues, customer complaints or thirdparty audits.Lead cross functional teams in the application of Lean and Six Sigma conceptsand tools to identify and eliminate waste, variation and bottlenecks in themanufacturing, assembly, test and kit fabrication processes.Partner with Manufacturing Supervision to drive best-in-class TPM and 5sprograms.Key participant in the identification, justification, procurement,testing and implementation of capital equipment investments.Skills and AbilitiesDemonstrated knowledge and understanding of numeric control code (e.g.,Fanuc, Okuma OSP)Ability to read machine code (M and G code) preferredExperience with NX Post Builder and NX Open, preferredProficiency with Visual Basic or similar programming, preferredLean Six Sigma training and experience, preferredExperience working with an ERP system, preferred (e.g., JD Edwardspreferred, Oracle, SAP)Working knowledge of GDandTWorking knowledge of ASME, ASTM, API, ISO standardsDemonstrated experience using hands-on approach to learning, productionsupport, teamwork and team buildingStrong communication, presentation and facilitation skillsSuperior time management skills, ability to successfully manage multipleprojects and prioritiesQualificationsBachelor's degree in science, engineering or other technical disciplinerequired. Suitable experience may be considered in lieu of educationalrequirementsMinimum 5-8 years of experience working in a similar role in a manufacturingenvironmentMinimum 3 years of experience with CAD/CAM software (Siemens NX preferred)Minimum 3 years of experience in a machining / metal cutting environment andexposure to varied metallurgies (e.g., carbon steel, stainless steelalloys, titanium, hastelloy, aluminum)Physical requirementsThis position is an office/factory hybrid role.Ability to lift 35 pounds unassisted.Indoor office and factory environment.
