It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they aredoing!Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesWorking knowledge of rotating equipment; aerodynamic performance, gasseals, bearings, vibration, rotordynamics, controls, testing,material science, and auxiliary support systemsKnowledge and interpretation of applicable industry standards (API-617,692, 614, NEMA, ASME Pressure Vessel Code, AGMA, NACE, etc.)Review of customer order scope and technical specifications and datasheetsProvide input into the design of the compressor/gearbox support systems;PandID reviews, seal support systems, lubrication systems, noiseattenuation, and compressor controlDetailed engineering of compressor / gearbox support systems in accordancewith the latest API Standards (main and auxiliary drivers, heatexchangers, seal gas heaters, pumps, instruments, gages, surgecontrol valves and systems, etc.)Create bills of materialProvide direction to design/drafting resourcesConduct pre-release design reviewsCreate and/or review and approve engineering drawings and documentation;seal gas and lube oil system data sheets, system layout drawings, builddata sheets, quality/test reports, etc.Disposition non-conforming partsProvide engineering and troubleshooting support for assembly and testingactivitiesDrive engineering excellence and continuous improvement, including thecreation of Engineering Standard WorkStay abreast of new technology and adapt accordinglyAssist Application Engineering and Sales in winning new businessManufacturing support, machine design, understanding of GDandTProvide consultation to Field Service for start-up/commissioning andtroubleshootingSkills and AbilitiesRequiredSelf-motivated and highly organizedExcellent team playerQualificationsB.S. Degree in Engineering, MS a plus3-5 years of related engineering experience, including manufacturing,EPC's, and/or oil and gas industrySound engineering judgment and decision-making skillsTravel to domestic or international customer and supplier sites required on alimited basis.
