SUMMARYThe QC Auditor is responsible for providing expertise and direct support ofthe division inbound and on-hand inspection process. The QC Auditor will alsoprovide expertise and support in the setting of produce rework and returnrestocking standards.EEO / VETERANS / DISABLEDFair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance: We will consider for employmentall qualified Applicants, including those with Criminal Histories, in amanner consistent with the requirements of applicable state and local laws,including the City of Los Angeles' Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring OrdinanceESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES* As directed by QA Manager or QC Supervisor, provide expertise and directsupport of the division inbound inspection process.* Escalate all identified inbound produce issues to the QA Manager or QCSupervisor for review and determination of further action. Create COC's andsend to APD as directed.* Under the direction of the QA Manager or QC Supervisor, provide expertiseand direct support to the daily on-hand inspection process.* Document any issues identified in the inspection process and escalate to QAManager or QC supervisor to determine proper course of action.* Provide expertise and direct support to the rework process, includingparticipating in the setting of rework standards, to assure the highestquality products are shipped.* When assigned by QA Manager or QC supervisor, provide expertise and directsupport in the processing of all product returns, including participating inthe setting of the standards for rest ocking product.* Perform all duties in accordance with HACCP food safety & Safe QualityFood (SQF) policies and procedures, as appropriate for location.* Observe all Company safety policies and procedures.* Perform all job duties and responsibilities in an ethical manner and inaccordance with Company policies and procedures.* Perform other duties and projects as assigned by management.Required SkillsCOMPETENCIES* Ability to successfully complete all QC Core Training requirements for thisposition.* Able to learn fruit ripening and handling techniques* Good communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.* Ability to work effectively in an open, dynamic and collaborativeenvironment.* Good initiative and strong problem-solving skills; able to resolve issuesskillfully, appropriately, and in a timely manner.* Strong sense of urgency while remaining calm under pressure.* Ability to safely and efficiently operate warehouse and material handlingequipment; able to obtain required certifications* Good computer skills, including MS Excel, Word, and Outlook;competent to learn and adapt to new computer applications, system upgradesand other technology as necessary.* Able to develop and maintain effective, positive working relationshipswith a diverse group of individuals; a team player.* Ability to safely operate a forklift, pallet jack and other similarwarehouse equipment and obtain required certifications.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTSHigh School diploma or equivalent required; some relevant college coursework desired. Successful completion of all QC Auditor training prerequisiteswithin required timeframe. Minimum 2 years produce experience in an inspectionor quality control environment. Good knowledge of inventory control processesand of proper manufacturing & distribution warehouse organization. Knowledgeof PACA standards for fresh produce good delivery, proper in-houseinspection techniques and Country of Origin labeling requirements. Knowledgeof receiving, shipping, inventory and material handling procedures.Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills useful.
