Works closely withPlanning, Design and Construction (PDC) Project Managers and withexternal architects, engineers and contractors. This role requires an expertlevel of BIM modeling ability, and a thorough understanding of how backenddata can be managed within BIM.ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAdvises on best-practice decisions regarding building information models tosupport planning, design, construction, and facility management.Interprets drawings, specifications, and evaluates issues during designand construction phases.Responsible for maintaining all drawings and specifications as well asoperating, maintenance or warranty information. Establishes BIM & CADnaming conventions, file exchange and model sharing protocols, as well asgeneral file standards.Coordinates with department project managers, design and construction teamsregarding drawing standards or updates. Responsible that all documentation iscurrent and accurate.Offers technical expertise relative to building information modeling tosupport space planning initiatives. Identifies model parameters and performperiodic site reviews to confirm documentation compliance, especiallyrelated to Life Safety plans.Resolves modeling or drawing issues, verifies that designs were integratedinto the Master BIM model CAD files. Maintains documentation and managementsupport software, ensuring building information plans are available onrequest.Serves as liaison to Facilities Department and Environment of Care teams.Works with consultants to develop and implement CHCO BIM-related initiatives.Provides monthly status reports on the progress of BIM initiative.Other InformationSCOPE AND LEVELGuidelines: Guidelines are generally numerous, well established, anddirectly applicable to the work assignment.
