The SBIRS team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as aSr. Principal Project Management based out of Aurora, CO.

What You'll get to Do:

  • Responsible for leading a team of Ground System Engineers in support of SBIRS Operations.

  • Responsible for technical and people leadership in support of Operations and Maintenance of the SBIRS Ground baseline and providing technical guidance to our customer.

  • Responsibilities will include oversight and day-to-day Ground System Engineer tasking.

  • Provide daily status briefings to Site Leadership

  • Serve as the initial point-of-contact for Ground System issues.

  • Attendance at technical interchange meetings, identify technical problems, create system troubleshooting and recovery plans, directs tasks and provides solutions.

  • Customer-service oriented, with an ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with Customer and site support personnel.

  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned commensurate with performance or due to business needs. Occasional travel to Colorado Springs is required. Occasional overtime and off-hours support is required as operational needs dictate.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • 10 Years with Bachelors; 8 Years with Masters; or 14 years relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance and a current background investigation (within last 5 years)

  • Operations engineering background

  • Familiar with ground communication systems from the architectural level to the field implementation level

  • Must have the ability to work on military installations

  • Must have demonstrated interpersonal skills working with senior program customers as well as military customers

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Direct recent experience in SBIRS operations at fielded customer sites

  • SBIRS Ground System Operational System experience

  • Familiar with ground communication systems from the architectural level to the field implementation level
