OUR ENGINEERING TEAM
NORESCO’s Engineering Group is responsible for identifying energy savings opportunities for large commercial and institutional facilities, including schools and universities. Our Engineering team’s primary focus is to analyze current energy systems and consumption and to make recommendations for energy upgrades necessary to decrease overall energy usage and costs for that business.
Associate Energy Engineers - nationwide
This is a great position for someone looking to utilize their newly acquired Mechanical Engineering degree. You’ll be mentored and directed by a Senior Energy Engineer where you’ll learn about energy efficiency and audits for Energy Savings Performance Contracts (ESPC).
As an Associate Energy Engineer at NORESCO, you’ll be required to travel about 25% to different project sites both regionally and nationally. You’ll have a great deal of interaction with customers as well as other NORESCO staff. You’ll be representing NORESCO at customer sites. Therefore, it is of utmost importance to possess good listening and communication skills.
Teamwork is essential as every person on our team plays a vital role in the successful completion of every project we do.
Here is a look at some of the things you’ll be doing.
● Conduct energy audits in large commercial and institutional facilities.
● Assist in identifying energy conservation opportunities associated with HVAC, EMS, and building shell systems.
● Assist the team in performing building site investigations and energy savings calculations.
● Provide written descriptions of energy conservation measures.
● Analyze utility bill data to determine customer energy performance parameters.
● Assist in the development of subcontractor scopes of work.
In general we look for candidates with the following credentials.
●Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
●PE Engineer in Training (EIT) registration preferred.
●Ability to travel within the continental U.S.
