At Excelitas Technologies YOU are how weExcWe are presently seeking a Fabrication Process Engineer that will developfabrication processes such as polishing, machining, and single-pointdiamond turning for successful implementation of new optical components.Creates process documentation, and supports the ongoing production ofoptical components using process engineering skills.Responsibilties:Serves as a technical subject matter expert for optical component fabricationprocesses.Develops fabrication processes to enable the manufacture of new products.Implements new fabrication process technologies into production.Creates and improves documentation for the manufacture of optical components.Trains technicians on the execution of fabrication processes.Monitors and drives improvement of production fabrication processes andequipment using SPC.Supports troubleshooting of existing fabrication processes.Supports procurement and quality with supplier evaluation and selection.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, orrelated field (Physics, Optics, etc.).10+ years of optical component fabrication experience desirable.Proficiency with SolidWorks or other CAD software desirable.Proficiency with SPC desirable.Experience with optical alignment and bonding desirable.Experience with structured problem-solving tools (8D, DMAIC, etc) desirable.This position requires the use of information, which is subject to theInternational Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)Visa sponsorship is not available for any position at Excelitas#LI-KR1RequirementsDevelops fabrication processes such as polishing, machining, andsingle-point diamond turning for successful implementation of new opticalcomponents.
