Oracle Senior UX Researcher - REMOTE in Boulder, Colorado
Responsible for creating, evaluating and modifying prototypes to support evolving hardware and software application development.
As a member of the User Experience team, you will develop and apply software design/usability processes in the investigation of technical problems. May develop user profiles, with emphasis on human error control, display issues, visual interaction, physical manipulation and task and objective analyses. Provide product usability, evaluation and support to product development teams, including the analysis and investigation of applications/systems including tactile methods, visual graphics, web, multimedia, voice response and conversational user interaction. May assist in developing design concept and implementation, providing input on user design considerations. May produce specifications describing user needs and internal structures for product in development.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically four years of software engineering or related experience needed.

What will you do as a UX Researcherfor Oracle’s Global Business Units?
You will drive the research process across multiple GBUs by leading and mentoring team on a variety of research engagements.
Work with GBU design teams to plan, conduct, analyze and report on empirical research methods such as onsite and remote usability studies, user interviews, card sorting, focus groups, surveys, and contextual inquiries.
Work with cross-functional teams to create and manage user research participant groups.
Lead initiatives to gather and analyze quantitative data on user activity, motivations, and challenges to help promote data-driven design efforts.
Communicate user behaviors and insights in compelling ways, focusing on actionable recommendations for cross-functional teams.
Report on high-level insights and trends to stakeholders and executive leadership.
Collaborate with researchers across Oracle to establish effective research processes and utilization by sharing best practices and insights.
Organize and manage a highly accessible user research library to provide meaningful transparency into user research activities and insights.
Drive innovation by using insights gained through research to generate new ideas.
Use data to show how UX initiatives are impacting users, products, and the business.
Develop a deep understanding and passion for a variety of industries.
Meet regularly with stakeholders to discuss project status, goals, roadblocks and areas for improvement.
Stay well-informed of the latest research methodologies and practices.
Mentor less experienced researchers.
You will learn, grow, and be challenged.
