ZOLL Lead QA Engineer in Broomfield, Colorado

As the QA Lead for our SaaS medical billing application, you will work as part of the product cross-functional development team, initially as the team member solely dedicated to quality. You'll be responsible for defining and executing the quality strategy, while influencing the team and collaborating with stakeholders defining and ultimately responsible for an offshore testing team.

  • Drive the quality, vision, and strategy throughout a cross-functional team to attain consistency in both method and process

  • Lead the team, introducing in testing best practices that consistently ensures quality is infused into the development process

  • Drive the architecture and implementation of an enhanced manual and automated testing process that supports CI/CD

  • Influence and support engineers to integrate testing into the development and build processes

  • Develop, maintain, and execute test plans for requirement/user story validation, integration, regression, performance, and usability testing

  • Write test cases in ZOLL’s test case management system to ensure the development team follows best practices in test case development and produces high-quality software releases

  • Ensure proper tracking, oversight, and communication of QA efforts and coordinate the tracking and reporting of key quality metrics to measure progress, quality, and efficiency

  • Review historical, existing and ongoing bug reports to identify areas needing specific attention

  • Manage testing status in our Issue and Project planning software, e.g. Jira

  • Other job-related duties as assigned

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience testing (manual and automated) and developing professional software

  • Strong understanding of modern web standards and technology (e.g. Selenium, c#, SQL Server, ReactJS or compliable JavaScript library)

  • Experience working in an Agile SCRUM environment

  • Experience with bug tracking and task management software (e.g., Jira)

  • Experience with the architecture and implementation of UI test automation frameworks from scratch

  • Coding skills in JavaScript and C# and build automation frameworks using these.

Preferred:

  • Comfort working with offshore development and testing teams

  • .NET development and SQL Server skills

  • Healthcare background

  • Experience using AWS for managing testing environments

  • Knowledge of Jira, Git, Teamcity

  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration principles and best-practices

The salary range for this role in Broomfield, CO is $90,000-$120,000 annually.

This position is also remote-friendly and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
