As aTest Engineer at SNC, you will be using your skills and expertise tosimulate, test, certify and improve cutting edge products and services.These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronicsystems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space explorationsystems. You'll develop complex test plans and procedures for a variety ofsystems to ensure the verification and validation of all product requirements. You will also be involved with the execution of the tests using top industrytools. IAS tailors solutionsto customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs toconsistently exceed expectations and provide a turnkey approach to enable ourcustomers to focus on their mission.Must-haves:Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering or other related discipline andtypically5 or more years of experienceKnowledge of engineering principles and practicesExperience working in multi-disciplinary designand development teamsKnowledge of requirements management, system design,and systems integrationExperience withplanning, conducting and documenting Verification andValidation (VandV) activitiesAbility to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is requiredPreferred:Experience with various testing equipment, standards, and methodologies toinclude manual and automated testingAbility to prepare complex and professional test plans, test procedures,and test reports in order to demonstrate compliance to system requirementsFamiliarity with Product and Quality Assurance principles and experienced ingeneration and disposition of product non-conformancesExperience performing certification testing for various certificationorganizations (i.e. FAA, NASA, DoD)Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures,and use logical trouble shooting techniquesBackground in the Aerospace and Defense IndustryIMPORTANT NOTICE:This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S.Security Clearance.
