(AECSS BMDED 4) General Engineer V - Evaluation Team LeadLocation: Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, ALClearance Required: TS/SCIAnticipated start date: early 2021PCI has an exciting opportunity for a General Engineer V - Evaluation TeamLead to support the Army Test Operations, Ballistic Missile DefenseEvaluation Division (BMDED).Responsibilities:Independently evaluates, selects, adapts, and modifies standardtechniques and criteria in order to plan and conduct engineering assignmentPerforms project work through extensive knowledge of engineering practices andpolicies to devise new approaches to resolve problemsOperates with general instructions in an independent mode and receivesguidance on special problems or when requestedIndependently plans, schedules, conducts or coordinates detailed phases ofengineering work through the selection and adaptation or modification oftechniques, procedures, and criteriaAnalyzes complex features of the work and applies principles and practices ofthe discipline, or devises new approaches in problem solutionsThoroughly reviews all results from assigned tasks and determine if outputsare complete, correct, integrated with project objectives, andadequately documentedIndependently prepares (or directs others in the preparation of),computation/analyses, specifications, and technical reports in thespecific area of technical expertiseSelects and applies engineering techniques and procedures to analyze andevaluate specific problems, data, or other features of the work which arebroad in scope and complexityReviews and evaluates the quantity, quality, and overall adequacy ofresults and conclusions drawn from accomplishment of engineering tasksPlans, designs, coordinates, executes, monitors, evaluates andreports test and evaluation of materialIncorporating state-of-the-art technology and requiring substantial deviationfrom established test procedures and/or development of new test capabilityor instrumentation systemsPerforms fundamental research, feasibility, engineering design ordevelopment of tests.Performs independently on projects having the characteristics described aboveAttends meetings and conferences that relate to assigned area ofresponsibility and assists in the isolation and resolution of controversialand novel issues regarding items being developed and testedInforms Government personnel about matters covered during meetings andinformation provided and receivedAssists in scheduling tests and coordinating support requirements with testscheduling office and supporting organizational elementsObserves or participates in the execution of assigned tests as requiredMonitors performance of the test item and adequacy of data collectionFacilitates range, test course and laboratory safetyCoordinates with others to assure all safety, security, environmental andcommunity concerns are adequately addressedReviews the data collected for completeness, accuracy and validityAnalyzes test data in terms of serviceability, cost conditions where theitem will be developed, etc., and prepares final test report outliningproblem areas revealed during the test and making recommendations andconclusions as to the suitability of the materiel being testedDue to the uniqueness and complexity of materiel being tested, the incumbentis required to prepare intricate, detailed and interpretative analysis oftest results.Position Specific Qualifications:Must possess a master's degree in engineering specialization or relateddiscipline and twenty years applicable experience; or a doctorate degree inengineering specialization or related discipline and fifteen years applicableexperienceExperience in DoD integrated test philosophy, test regulations, andcoordinated test and evaluation programs are requiredMust be familiar...
