Campaign Level Space Modeling, Simulations, and Analysis Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Apply a broad understanding of the design and execution of strategic and operational level wargames for a range of participants from senior military leaders, to CEOs, to action officers, to corporate managers. Lead and participate in the client’s campaign and mission-level analytic efforts for modeling and simulation (M&S) of effects to the space enterprise and impacts to the terrestrial warfighter. Mentor, and interface with domain experts, and assist in the application of analytical skills across a wide range of disciplines related to DoD space systems, threats, and campaign plans. Understand DoD space systems requirements, adjust data-driven analytical efforts to meet those requirements, and effectively communicate results to decision-makers in the DoD space enterprise. Coordinate and integrate with Government mission partners to leverage cross-domain modeling expertise in support of space-centered all-domain analysis.

Assist in the development of software modules, plugins, and scripts that accurately model the space enterprise. Participate in detailed software engineering of Government Off The Shelf (GOTS) M&S software that supports space analysis efforts.

  • Experience with planning the integration of kinetic and non–kinetic effects across geographic and functional Combatant Commands in support of major combat operations

  • Experience with planning and synchronizing lethal and non–lethal effects into operational and strategic level plans

  • Ability to assist with the development of exercises which stress an operational level staff’s ability to plan and execute complex, multi–military domain operations on compressed timelines

  • Top Secret clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with modeling in the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM), System Effectiveness Analysis Simulation (SEAS), Systems Tool Kit (STK) or other relevant model environments

  • Experience with extending and improving software frameworks such as using both custom plugins and source code from modeling and simulation frameworks

  • Experience with data-driven analysis, Design of Experiments, and optimization algorithms

  • Ability to implement object-oriented software standards

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • BA or BS in systems engineering, operations research, mathematics, probability, or statistics
