L3Harris is seeking an engineering specialist to join our talented team and provide SATCOM engineering support, test, and integration activities. Below is a list of common responsibilities and minimal requirements for this position.
Essential Functions:
Perform test, fault isolation, and integration of SATCOM systems and hardware
Manage daily logistics and workflow
Utilize standard electronic test and measurement equipment to evaluate equipment and components
Generate and assign work authorization and instruction documents
Provide documentation and parts-list support for controlled procedures and technical drawings
Generate new procedures and configuration documents as required to support test and measurement of sustained equipment
Assemble, configure, calibrate, align, operate, and repair hardware in accordance with documentation provided
Collect test data for review and analysis. Document equipment failures through designated reporting tools. Provide failure analysis and corrective action input
Supervise and perform electrical, mechanical, and RF troubleshooting
Collaborate with design, systems, logistics, and integration engineering teams. Interface cross-functionally with program management, quality, supply chain, and operations management
Assign and ensure completion of all priority tasking
Support lean/process improvement initiatives
Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to manager
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience, OR, 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience
Experience with operations, test, and maintenance of SATCOM electronics
Experience with a broad range of electronic test and measurement equipment including: spectrum analyzers, signal generators, RF power meters, and network analyzers
Experience working with and updating detailed technical drawings and procedure
Experience with integrating rack-mount equipment
Experience in building/testing various cable types
Preferred Additional Skills:
Leadership experience
Solder experience/certification
A+, Network+, Security+
ESD training/certification
Experience with supporting government and/or DoD customers
Be a team player, pro-active, and customer oriented with a sense of urgency to accomplish a given task or goal
Ability to work first or second shift support
In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role in Colorado is $49,000.00 - $91,000.00 (salary ranges in other locations could differ). This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
