Bridgers & Paxton Consulting Engineers, Inc. Experienced Mechanical Engineer in Colorado Springs, Colorado

We are currently seeking to hire an experienced Mechanical Engineer in our Colorado Springs, Colorado office with the ability to serve as a project leader for Mechanical Engineering. Duties would include mechanical design and engineering, equipment selection, plumbing plan layout, specification writing, cost estimating, coordination with other consultants and team members, and client interaction. This position involves working on several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Some local and state travel will be required to perform field investigations, coordinate design requirements, and to build client relations.

The qualifications of this position are as follows:

  • Minimum 7 years of mechanical engineering experience in the consulting engineering business

  • Self-motivated with the ability to develop approaches to projects independently, and perform detailed execution of mechanical and plumbing design.

  • Communicates well verbally, in writing, and graphically, with other engineers, clients and code authorities

  • Project management skills

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Strong personal ambition and work ethic

  • Strong working knowledge of various Building, Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire, Energy Conservation, and Fuel Gas codes.

  • Strong working knowledge of the NFPA, and other industry related standards

  • Strong personal ambition to be a team player and provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced designers/engineers

  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Trace 700 and other design related software.
