We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with a Bachelor's degreein Structural, Stress, or a related Engineering field and at least 10years of relevant experience. In this challenging, fast-paced environment,you'll have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and experience to designand create the most groundbreaking aerospace and defense technologies - thosethat exist today and those that will shape tomorrow.As the Exterior Modifications Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead, youwill be responsible for the following:Developing all aspects of the design regarding the exterior of the airvehicle, including significant structural modifications to accommodate themission systems requirement and associated Outer Mold Line (OML) changes.Cross-functional collaboration with other groups to gather all inputs todefine interfaces and ensure operability with the other mission systems, andto ensure operability of the exterior structure with the mission systems andIPTs.Planning and execution of all aircraft ground structural and flight-test todemonstrate suitability for certification.Working with your team to divide the workshare between internal and externalcapability and generate Statements of Work (SOWs) to flow to potentialsub-contractors. Once on contract, the lead shall ensure the sub-contractorhas the information and communications necessary to complete their task inscope and on time. IAS tailors solutionsto customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs toconsistently exceed expectations and provide a turnkey approach to enable ourcustomers to focus on their mission.Must-haves:Bachelor's degree in Structural, Stress, or related Engineeringdiscipline and at least 10 years of relevant experienceAn active Secret U.S. Security ClearancePreferred:Knowledge of:Aero structures and loads to support significant OML changes and the variousconsiderations in order to modify and certify within FAA and militaryregulations.Structural analysis techniques and toolsRequirement comprehension and derived requirement development for exteriorstructuresAircraft localized and global loads considerations for a significantstructural modificationsFAA and/or military certification regulations for part 23/25 for fixedwing and/or part 27/29 for rotorcraft and MIL-HDBK-516CExperience with FEMAP/Nastran, PATRAN/NASTRAN, and/or NASGROExperience in Engineering Simulation, such as Finite Element StructuralAnalysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and Thermal AnalysisIMPORTANT NOTICE:This position requires current/active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S.Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. SecurityClearance for employment. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain asecurity clearance.
