Failure Analysis Engineer

A technologically advanced electronics manufacturing company near Colorado Springs, CO is looking to hire a mid to senior level Failure Analysis Engineer to join their growing team! You need 3-5+ years of specific experience with performing failure analysis (FA) on microelectronics circuits (integrated circuits) and associated electronic components. responsibilities:
The majority of the time (80%) you will assist with New Product Development for Integrated Circuits (IC) specifically in reliability and failure analysis areas
You will partner with your internal development, manufacturing, & customer support teams in establishing hypothesis/failure mechanisms, performing simulations and strategy for root cause analysis on these IC circuits
Develop failure analysis requirements and documentation for new products and in support of existing products
Perform failure and materials analysis tests for process, material, and design changes complying with JEDEC standards, AS requirements, & MIL-PRF-38535
Participate on material review teams to work through the qualification process whenever there is a part failure
On a daily basis, perform failure assessment and analysis activities including wafer foundry evaluations, semiconductor product and process evaluations, and report generation
Your main goal is to find out why the part failed, how it failed and how to prevent it from happening in the future
You will also be responsible for working with & directing 3rd party failure analysis labs that hat have specialized testing equipment
You will provide direction, mentorship and resources to other engineering groups and project leaders as well as factory Technicians
