N256 provides applied systems engineering/mission engineering for 4 Combatant Commands (CCMDs), to include HQ USSPACECOM, the parent CCMD for Joint Task Force-Space Defense (JTF-SD). JTF-SD has a mission to conduct, in unified action with mission partners, space superiority operations to deter aggression, defend capability, and defeat adversaries throughout the continuum of conflict. N256 provides technical expertise with space systems, architectures, C2 structures, and systems engineering to bridge the command, and the rest of the U.S. Space Enterprise, and in support of the Joint Force and Service Components.
Position Responsibilities include:
- Provide systems engineering knowledge, space domain expertise, familiarity with intelligence community capabilities and processes, familiarity of USSPACECOM operations and US Space Force roles and responsibilities for the JTF-SD leadership, particularly the J3 and J8.
BS and 8 - 10 years related experience
Space Domain/Systems experience
Major Command (MAJCOM) or CCMD Operations Center experience, command and control experience, warfighter support experience
Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or applicants who are eligible for security clearances.
Working knowledge, technical experience with Service/Joint space systems, processes, primary space C2 and Sensor programs
Experience with requirements documentation and program/mission gap analysis
Special Access Program experience, integration with white world systems and processes
Applied architecture development and analysis experience in support of decision makers
Possess and maintain a TS/SCI level security clearance and the ability to be cleared for Special Access Programs
Master’s Degree in an engineering discipline (field specific or related education)
10+ years working in space mission area
Currently, working in the Space Defense Systems domain
Possess SAP level clearance
