Lockheed Martin Mechanical/Electrical Engineer in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Description: Reporting to the Rotary Mission and Systems (RMS) Facilities Engineering Manager , primarily responsible for Mechanical and Electrical design of various in house projects serving various company owned and leased facilities based out of Colorado Springs, CO.

Desired Skills: Proficiency is developing facilities construction cost estimates.

Knowledge of Construction/Design standards as related to reliability/maintainability requirements

Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise, detailed descriptive evaluation reports of facility conditions.

Direct working knowledge of all trades including electrical, HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, humidifiers, air filtration, steam systems, water and air systems, piping system design and construction.

Working knowledge of Construction Management

Demonstrated experience with managing facilities projects

Demonstrated experience with fire protection systems

E.I.T. and track for P.E. License

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

US citizen able to acquire US government secret security clearance.

B.S. degree or equivalent work experience with proven track record of at least 3 year directly related team facilities engineering work experience within plant operations environment.

Demonstrated working operational knowledge of one or more of the following: HVAC design/control systems, building management systems, electric infrastructure, and facilities condition assessments.

Possess a technical trade background or working experience including hand-on experience with a wide variety of industrial infrastructure systems.

Experience developing statement of work (SOW) specifications for facilities services contracts.

Experienced with and demonstrated ability to follow established standards, policy and procedures, including mechanical, electrical, controls, construction, safety, and environmental compliance.

Demonstrated ability to read and interpret facilities designs (CAD, electrical, mechanical, structural, civil, architectural), and lay-outs.

Must have proficiency with Microsoft Windows products including: Power Point, Excel, and Microsoft Word.
