Boecore has a current job opening for a QA and Safety Engineer in ColoradoSprings, CO supporting the Shared Early Warning System (SEWS) IIprogram. Additional opportunities to work with / in Integration and Test.Program Summary: This five-year program provides a wide range of servicessuch as sustainment, migration, integration, design, analysis,documentation, development, training, help desk support, testing,and operational and depot support.Responsibilities:The SEWS II QA and Safety Engineer will QA all assembled travel kits toconfirm they are ready for deployment.The QA will be responsible for implementing and documenting quality processeswithin SEWS II.The QA will also perform Quality Control functions and will be responsible forensuring incoming shipments are functioning properly before they are acceptedand building review processes and procedures in the different functionalareas.The QA will initiate QA processes on SEWS II documentation and then QC them.Documents include trip reports; systems diagrams; contract deliverableitems; test plans; test reports; etc. for compliance to contractual andexternal requirementsThe QA will be responsible for ensuring outgoing shipments are QC'ed priorto shipping.The QA must be able to perform product and process audits including auditpreparation and in briefing, conducting of audit, creating audit report,documenting findings and developing corrective action, conductingverifications, tracking findings to closure and present audit report tomanagemThe QA must be able to effectively collect, analyze, organize and presentdata to managementThe QA must be able to provide inputs to quality trend data and initiatecorrective actionThe QA / Safety Engineer must understand risk process and be able to supportRisk Management team in risk analysis and mitigationThe Safety Engineer is responsible for the SEWS II Safety program.Duties include updating and maintain the System Safety Program PlanBriefing personnel on any safety issues/concernsReview test plans and procedures for inclusion of safety itemsBeing the SEWS II focal point for any Safety or mishap related items.This position will interact will all aspects of the SEWS II program. Theposition will also have the opportunity to assist in the Integration & TestEngineering (I&TE) team, which can be a career progression path.Major duties of the position include (but are not limited to):Auditing program processes for conformance to government QASPReviewing program processes for the incorporation of quality best practicesPerforming Quality Control inspections of all contract deliverable itemsPerforming Quality Control on incoming and outgoing shipmentsCapturing and reporting on quality control program and initiativesUpdating and maintaining the System Safety Program PlanResponsible for the SEWS II Safety ProgramAccident / mishap reportingMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Math, ComputerScience, or related field of study and a minimum of 3-6 years of relatedtechnical experience or equivalent combination of education/experienceStrong work ethic, demonstrated problem solving ability, willingness tolearn new skills, and proactive approachPossess the ability to work independently with little oversight or supervisionPossess planning, coordination and organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively on a small teamExperience with Quality Assurance / Quality Control with a background of:Auditing of process and productsTracking findings to closureThe ability to recommend process improvementsExperience with System Safety programsPast experience working in an operational environment is requiredMust be a U.S. CitizenExcellent communication and organizational skills are necessary to interfacewith the customer teamMust have strong verbal and writing skillsMust have strong attention to detailMust be able to obtain and maintain a Secret government security clearancePreferred Qualifications:Experience with t
