This activity will be supported through the executionof Design of Experiments, a strong knowledge of Physics of Failureprinciples, and statistical analyses.Essential Functions/Responsibilities:* Develops, applies, and maintains reliability standards for processingmaterials into partially finished or finished product.* Evaluate the materials, process, and techniques used in production tomeet the requirement of packaged products.* Specifies inspection and testing mechanism, conduct quality assessment upto and including audits and perform statistical analysis to determine theresponsibility for products and systems that do not meet requiredspecifications.* Delivers standardization in product qualification, manufacturing qualitysystems and methods.* Provide feedback to stakeholders (e.g., various engineering groups andengineering management) on design or method and statistical process controlprocedures including manufacturing systems in HVM.* Determines reliability requirements and automated screening methodologies ofcomponents and systems to achieve company, customer, and any governmentalagency reliability objectives.* Develops new acceleration techniques, analytical tools and quality screensto assure the early identification of potential problems with new products,packaging, processes, and product reliability.* Responds to customer requests or events as they occur.* Makes recommendations for changes in design or formulation to improve systemand/or process/product reliability."The responsibilities as defined are intended to serve as a generalguideline for this position. Associates may be asked to perform additionaltasks depending on strengths and capabilities."Required Skills:* Extensive experience responsible for reliability of high volume electronicsproducts, preferably device packaging and/or technology assessments.* Proven ability to develop and execute reliability plans for IntegratedCircuit, MEMS, and/or sensor products, from NPI to HVM.* Experienced in accelerated testing in various environmental conditions(moisture, heat, thermal cycling, vibration, etc.)* Comfortable with statistics and statistical presentations of materials orproduct reliability and characterization data.* Strong understanding of SPC techniques, FMEAs, Six Sigma, andReliability Standards* Ability to meet International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)compliance requirements.* Some travel may be required.Desired Skills and Experience:* Experienced with small form factor devices.* Must have excellent communication skills - verbal, written, andpresentation.* Strong driver who is assertive and results/goal oriented.Required Education:* Graduate (MS/PhD) degree in Materials Science, Physics, MechanicalEngineering, or Applied Sciences.
