Click here to view: https://youtu.be/qvbCgKpkEds Job Description : Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) is seeking a Senior Engineering I to join our team in support of the U.S. Air Force Cobra Dane radar maintenance program. As a Sr Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for mechanical component analysis, recommendations of hardware solutions, and technical refresh design activities. You will ensure that cost, schedule, and technical performance comply with program needs. This position will support manufacture and repair of complex military applications in accordance with manufacturing and quality standards in a multi-disciplined team environment. The candidate must be able to develop technical solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity and guide the successful completion of major mechanical subassembly and final build and/or repair. Responsibilities include: •Review the Bill of Material (BOM) for accuracy prior to release to production or overhaul and repair •Answer technical questions from suppliers •Resolve technical design and process issues during production, integration and testing or overhaul/repair •Incorporate Change Notices, Variances, or red lined comments into CAD models and documentation •Perform Technical Analyses of customer proposals in support of the Cost and Pricing Analysis (CAPA) process •Work with Manufacturing Ops to develop Process Drawings/Description to assist technicians with assemble/manufacture of products •Use Creo to design and document fixtures for Manufacturing Ops •Draft Change Notices or Variances to support design changes required to resolve issues encountered during the manufacture or repair of products The successful candidate should be able to support multiple projects, in a fast-paced, team environment. The candidate will demonstrate an ability to solve complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity, and provide examples of guiding the successful design of major mechanical assemblies. Required Skills : •Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Security Clearance •Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% •Minimum of 4 years full time engineering experience •General familiarity with CAD software •Familiarity with Military and Commercial Drawing Standards, including ASME-Y14.100 •Experience in a manufacturing or depot support role •Experience writing/editing technical documents •Strong understanding of structural materials and manufacturing processes •Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal •Ability to manage multiple, unrelated tasks in an organized manner •Basic MS Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Desire Skills : •Experience in the use of Creo (Pro-Engineer) •Experience in developing Interface Control Drawings, Cable Assembly Drawings, Wiring Diagrams, Installation Drawings, and Rack Elevation Drawings •Ability to analyze engineering change requests to determine changes/modifications needed to the drawing package •Experience reviewing documentation and conducting drawing checks •Coordinate and communicate with members of engineering and management, to ensure designs meet technical requirements •Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills. •Experience with establishing drawing structures and product structures •Experience in working with PDM systems and possesses strong understanding of Configuration Management principles •Four (4) or more years of progressive technical/engineering experience with emphasis in mechanical design, analysis, and integration •Current active US Secret Security Clearance Required Education : •Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 4 years of related work experience 121985
