Controls Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Support the development and validation of control requirements for electrical or electronic systems, mechanical systems, interconnects, and structures. Develop control architectures to integrate components into higher level systems and platforms. Perform trade studies, modeling, simulation, and other forms of analysis to predict component and interconnects performance and optimize design around established requirements. Define and conduct tests to validate the performance of designs to requirements. Select hardware and procure or develop control algorithms to operate the prototype system, as required. Provide support to products during prototype integration and testing at a customer site.

Basic Qualifications:

-7+ years of experience with object-oriented languages, including C++, mathematical tools, including MATLAB, and UNIX- or Linux- based workstations

-5+ years of experience with the design and analysis of controls simulation experiments, including electro-optics

-Knowledge of system engineering and analysis and interfacing with multiple engineering fields

-Active Secret clearance

-BS degree in Engineering or CS

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with modeling and simulation of electro-optical systems

-Experience with data analysis for directed energy weapon systems or control systems

-Experience with laboratory or field testing

-MS degree preferred
