Join our team andreimagine what your career can be.Position PurposeProvide planning and program management services for KLJ projects in atimely, accurate, and cost effective manner. KLJ has the need for anexperienced Planner that can manage clients and projects as a teamplayer/builder. The work involves runways, taxiways, aprons, terminalbuildings, roads, parking lots, water service, sanitary sewer, stormsewer, and all facets of work related to airports.Essential FunctionsProvide professional planning, technical, and program managementPrepare site analysis, concept design, design development, and presentationsProvide direction, review, and support to the group by leading projects;assuring proper practices and techniquesUse software and equipment to prepare and revise technical drawings and plansusing company established standard proceduresProvide quality control by reviewing completed work to ensure compliance withKLJ quality standardsCommunicate consistently with the project manager, client and contractorRead and interpret plans to assist with client management and effectivelycommunicate to answer inquiries from coworkers, clients, or the publicMust have a valid driver's license and be able to operate motorized vehiclesAssist with the coordination of business development and marketing strategyAdhere to project budget and scheduleInstruct, train, and mentor group members and support staffBusiness development within the existing KLJ client base and with potentialnew clientsResponsibilitiesMay serve as project manager on designated projectsParticipate in and facilitate meetings with stakeholders and clientsPublic involvement may include reports, graphics, presentations, andother visual materialConfer with project team members and clients to lead, prepare, andparticipate in project proposals and interviewsAssist with design, plans, specifications, reports, maps,schedules, estimates, data collection, and documents and agreements as neededMay plan, organize, coordinate, prioritize, and monitor client relationsProficient in various software including Microsoft Office systems(particularly Word, Excel and Power Point), .pdf editing, and Google EarthUnderstanding of FAA design standardsUnderstanding of FAA, State and Local planning guidelinesQualificationsA Bachelor's Degree in planning, civil engineering, or a related fieldis required.
