About the Position

We are currently seeking a Civil CAD Drafter/Designer to add to our team in Denver, Colorado. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and passionate self-starter to work directly with local and national land development projects. The candidate will work in a highly collaborative interdisciplinary office environment.

The Civil CAD Drafter/Designer assists in the approval and development of public and private projects within their development team. Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Works in conjunction with engineer on preliminary design of site, grading, water/wastewater layout, storm sewer layout

  • Assists in the preparation of improvement plans, specifications, supporting documents, and permit applications for subdivisions, commercial developments, multifamily developments, and public works projects.

  • Performs plan drafting using AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.

Requirements

Education

Associates or technical degree in Drafting/Design preferred

Experience

Typically, four plus years of experience after educational requirements above.

Qualifications

  • Possesses basic understanding of principles and practices of civil engineering.

  • Possesses basic understanding of approval and permitting process for civil projects.

  • Understands project schedules and budgets; is able to work efficiently within project guidelines.

  • Experience with drafting boundary and topographic surveys, pipe networks, parcels and subdivisions.

  • Possesses basic understanding of approval and permitting process for civil projects.

  • Working knowledge/experience using Civil 3D and proficiency with MS Office Suite.

  • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers drafting experience is a plus.

  • Strong time management and organizational skills.

  • Understands project schedules and budgets; ability to work efficiently within project guidelines.

  • Communicates in a timely and effective manner within the team and with various agencies and other disciplines working on project.

  • Keen attention to detail, and ability to work on multiple tasks or projects with changing priorities
