WSP is currently initiating a search for a Civil Engineer Director for our Denver office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Focus on business development, marketing, and project pursuits that will help to further strengthen our presence in the Colorado/Wyoming markets
Provide leadership to a talented group of professionals spanning all career levels as they work on a multitude of transportation projects
Rely upon transportation Engineering background to excel at client relations, business development and mentoring staff
Support efforts in proposal development, including development of client relationships
Prepare (or review) roadway plans, detail drawings, project specifications, quantity take-offs, and cost estimates (PS&E)
Perform (or review) design related to transportation project, such as: roadway and intersection geometric studies, roadway and earthwork modeling, drainage design, grading, preliminary engineering, final engineering, plan production, construction staging, design and quantity calculations, estimates, report writing, and other related engineering duties.
Manage project budget and schedule; monitor quality control methods

Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
A minimum of 12 years of experience in transportation engineering industry
Experience with CDOT and Local Municipalities associated with Transportation Projects.
Applied knowledge and understanding with CDOT Roadway Design
A current Colorado P.E. registration or ability to obtain P.E. within 6 months
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree is desirable
Experience in Hydraulics and Hydrology is a plus
Experience with Bentley OpenRoads
Active participation in relevant engineering societies and professional associations
