Aboveall, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward.Primary ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking self-starter candidates for our Denver office with anentrepreneurial drive, good communication, organizational and writingskills, and a strong passion for working with people on civil infrastructureprojects. The technical focus of this position is on pipeline and pump stationdesign for water and wastewater conveyance, with a specialty concentrationin hydraulic transient analysis and design.The primary responsibilities of the position include supporting the design ofcivil water and wastewater conveyance related projects for federal, stateand local municipalities. This position will require production of designcalculations, technical reports, and preparation of constructiondocuments. Primary responsibilities include:* Creating detailed designs of water distribution and sewer collection systemsunder instruction from the Project Manager. * Preparing plans/constructiondrawings for water and wastewater improvements through coordination with CADstaff and within AutoCAD software. * Development of technical specificationsbased on HDR master specifications and client specifications. * Evaluatingsystems for hydraulic transient events and working with design team torecommend and design hydraulic transient mitigation. * Preparation of relateddesign reports with supporting mapping and calculations to document the designprocess and obtain agency approvals. * Perform construction phase tasksincluding administration, construction observation, and supportingengineering activities.QualificationsRequired QualificationsA solid foundation in various branches of water related civil engineering,development of construction drawings, and strong technical writing andorganizational skills are essential requirements for this position. Specificrequired qualifications include:* BS in Engineering. * Thorough understanding of water distribution andwastewater system hydraulics. * Design of wastewater lift stations and waterpump stations. * 6 years of experience in civil and water/wastewaterpipeline designs and preparation of construction drawings and specifications.* AutoCAD experience in the development of water/wastewater pipelinedesigns. * Experience with Bentley and/or Innovyze water models. *Construction experience for office engineering services including submittaland shop drawing review, responding to RFIs, and development of workchange directives. * Demonstrated experience with working in a teamenvironmentPreferred QualificationsExperience in assessing sewer pipeline condition through used CCTV and fieldtest data. * Experience using Civil3D for development of site grading,pipeline plan and profile drawings. * Experience with ArcGIS software with usein system mapping and basic data analysis. * Business development experience.Why HDRAt HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work for; it'salso about what you do and how you do it.
