Company is seeking a Construction Engineer/Inspector II withexperience in civil design and construction engineering of various utilitiesincluding water and sewer pipelines, water and wastewater treatmentplants, drainage structures, land development, and civil infrastructureprojects to join one of Colorado Water offices. This is a temporary positionand benefits are provided for the duration. Field work will be 50 - 100%depending on the project assignments. There is the possibility of full timeemployment in lieu of temporary.Job DescriptionThe Construction Engineer works for a project manager and/or projectengineer as the civil designer and to perform constructability reviews ofdesigns and construction drawings. This position would also provideconstruction administration and observation services for various utilities,including water and sewer pipelines, water and wastewater treatmentplants, other water or wastewater facilities, drainage structures andfacilities and includes the ability to self-perform said services, and toproficiently manage and schedule other engineers, designers, andconstruction observation personnel. Interface with clients, subconsultantsand contractors during the performance of said duties is also required.Required ExperienceMinimum of ten (10) years of experience in civil design and constructionmanagement of water and wastewater projects and other construction experience.Water and wastewater experience is preferred.AutoCAD C3D drafting skills is preferred.Professional Engineer license and/or EIT in the State of Colorado is a plus.Bachelor of Sciences degree in Construction Management preferred.Additional field experience may be substituted for education.Observing, reviewing, monitoring or otherwise addressing theappropriateness, performance and timeliness of construction related workperformed under the contract or as specified by client.Knowledge and understanding of project documents, including contractdocuments and technical specifications.Role as owner's representative during the construction phase.Development and maintenance of project data and files, including recorddocuments, correspondence, RFIs, change order requests, payrequests, shop drawings, etc.Local candidates only.Travel is required.
