This position can be located in either Denver, CO or Farmington, NM.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Project Controls Manager or Lead, this position coordinates and administers assigned configuration management activities relative to identification, control, and accounting for specification and change documents directly related to the assigned construction project. The position is often at a site location.

As the Document Controls Professional, you will provide support and oversight in the definition and implementation of Document Management and Information Systems for Buildings & Infrastructure programs and projects. As a Document Controls Professional, you may be responsible for developing processes and procedures according to the dynamic needs of our clients and services.   • Establishes procedures for and implements the introduction of changes to engineering documents for assigned project

  • Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, and support

  • Ensures that customer requirements are implemented

  • Reviews change accounting activity to ensure compliance with contract requirements and configuration management policies


  • BA or BS degree from an accredited university or college

  • 5 years of experience as a Document Controller is required with project/program document management solutions

  • Experiencein developing, implementing and managing Document Management solutions using variouselectronic data management systems.

  • Very strong comfort level inside the entire Microsoft Office suite of tools is required

  • Strong organization skills in both the virtual and physical environment is required

  • Ability to work in a team is required

  • Exposure and experience handling large documents such as blue prints or documents from plotter printers is preferred

  • Strong communication skills and understanding of technical terminology is preferred

  • Experienceworking for Engineering and Construction companies

  • Experiencein developing, implementing and managing Document Management solutions usingSharePoint and Aconex

Essential Functions:

Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance carried of 50 feet. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same. No foot controls necessary. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be occasional travel, will work near construction job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.
