Be a part of ourRail and Transit System's team working on changing the way we connect ourcities through electrification. HDR is seeking a talented driven individualwho is interested in Overhead Contact Systems (OCS) for railelectrification. This would be a great opportunity to learn a very nicheindustry under our senior engineers and work on challenging projects acrossNorth America. Here are some of the responsibilities associated with thisposit* Able to work in a team environment and participate in group meetings.* Provide coordination between all disciplines while working towards projectinitial start through completion.* Maintain accountability for handling specific design aspects throughcompletion.* May serve as technical liaison with client and other team members.* Participates in the collection and analysis of data.* Assist with the preparation of contract drawings, reports, calculationsand specifications.* Ability to design on screen in the production of CAD drawings.* Assist with design and construction cost estimating.* Ability to travel across North America when required. Must be able to obtainpassport.* Must have a valid US driver's license.* Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsRequired Qualifications* Bachelor of Science in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or similar.* Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.* Proficiency with CADD software, Autocad and/or Microstation.* Interest in transit and rail related projects; willingness to learn.* Experience in Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, Outlookand Powerpoint.Preferred Qualifications* Experience with STAAD Pro, SAP2000, LPile or RISA is preferred.* Experience with Excel VBA is preferred, but not required.* Experience in MathCAD is preferred.* Previous consultant firm, rail transit construction or transit agencyexperience is preferred.* EIT certification strongly preferred.
