MWH Constructors, a global leader in heavy civil construction of water andwastewater facilities, is currently seeking a Commissioning and Startup(CandSU) Engineering intern to support our construction operations,specifically our CandSU team located in Denver, CO. This assignment will runfrom January 2021 to June 2021.Commissioning is the process of testing and certification of equipment tovalidate readiness for startup. Startup is the initial operation of newfacilities to demonstrate that each process meets the intent of the design andspecification. Commissioning and startup is the final stage of transition fromconstruction to facility operation.MWH Constructors is a global project delivery company with a focus on waterand energy. Incorporating industry-leading preconstruction services andsafety practices, the Company's multi-disciplined team of engineering andconstruction professionals delivers a wide range of projects, including newfacilities, infrastructure improvement and expansion, and capital constructionEssential FunctionsAssist CandSU team with various project tasks, including researching,compiling and evaluating project data, preparing reports and performingcalculations for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.Performing simple calculations, computer data entry, along with someexposure to design and cross-training.Performing research and contacting vendors for information.Assisting in project administration including writing reports, gatheringinformation, drafting proposals, drafting correspondence, trackingproject costs, and completing progress reports.Process submittals and RFIs.Update working drawings with RFIs and Changes. Keep this set up to date toensure the team is working with the most current information.Comply with company policies and procedures.Work in a manner to ensure your personal safety and that of fellow employeesby following company health and safety guidelines and policies.Basic QualificationsIn progress toward earning a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil,Mechanical or Electrical (Control Systems) Engineering or related degreewith a minimum of 2 years of undergraduate coursework in college.Specific coursework or exposure to one or more of the following: -Planning, design, and construction of water/wastewater infrastructure -Environmental Water/wastewater treatment processes- Advanced and emergingtechnologies.Strong interpersonal abilities for working in diverse team environments withstaff, clients, and stakeholders.Ability to multi-task and follow priorities.Self-starter with the desire to learn advanced wastewater processes, plantoperations, and project controls skills.Detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experienced with complete Microsoft Office Suite, familiarity with CADsoftware.MWH Constructors is an EEO employer - MWH Constructors considers applicantsfor all positions without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, creed,color, sex, gender, gender identity or expression, national origin,age, disability, veteran status, medical condition, marital status,sexual orientation, citizenship or other basis in accordance with federal,state or local laws or regulations.
