Collins Engineers, Inc. offers an opportunity for a civil engineering student to gain experience doing structural inspections. The Denver, CO office has an opening for a Structural Engineering Intern position for the Summer of 2021. We are looking for a college student with an interest instructural engineeringthat is in their sophomore or junior year. You will be paired with professional licensed engineers observing bridge inspections and creating reports using data collected from field sites. You will be able to get hands-on experience collaborating on structural engineering inspection projects and working on other various tasks with our seasoned engineers. This position is primarily in the field.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Focuses primarily on structural inspections.
Properly checks other team members’ calculations.
Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
Field work will be required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Sophomore or junior working towards a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college.
Previous software experience in AutoCAD and MicroStation is a plus.
Previous software experience in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe PDF or other PDF editing software is a plus.
A valid driver's license.

Salary Range:$16-20/hour, depending on year in school. Actual compensation may vary from posted hiring range based upon compensable factors, including: experience, education, and skill level.
