We havethe depth and breadth of expertise to respond to the most technicallychallenging and time-critical infrastructure projects and the urgenttransition to a low-carbon economy.SNC-Lavalin's Atkins business seeks an energetic and highly motivatedself-starter to join our team in Denver, CO as an Entry-Level Civil Engineerin the Graduate Development Program.This is an excellent opportunity for an Entry-Level Civil Engineer to join theGraduate Development Program, which consists of an 18-month period in whichthe engineer will rotate through various groups or disciplines(Structures, Highway, ITS/Traffic, Planning, Water andConstruction Management) to acquire a good understanding of how eachdisciple works with the intent that the employee fits in the proper area basedon the development program experience.MAJOR FUNCTION/ROLEUnder supervision, progresses through selected technical areas over an18-month period. Performs routine engineering work while developingprofessional proficiency. On design assignments, works to learn how toclearly convey the design intent through engineering drawings andspecifications. On assignments involving investigations and planning, worksto learn the fundamentals of engineering processes and to apply themsuccessfully to operating systems.On assignments involving construction activities, works to develop anunderstanding of construction methods and the translation of engineeringdrawings and specifications into the constructed product. Participates innon-technical training deemed critical to professional development. Upholdsengineering ethics and standards of conduct.JOB DUTIES* Generally, applies standard engineering techniques, procedures andcriteria in carrying out a sequence of somewhat diversified tasks requiringthe use of analysis, interpretation, and deductive reasoning.
