This person will work with Barr's clients to identify,scope, and manage environmental review, permitting, and complianceprojects while providing technical advice and support. Responsibilities alsoinclude helping build and maintain client relationships and pursuing businessdevelopment opportunities for permitting services and NEPA analysis with anumber of sectors (primarily mining and energy sector clients). Thisposition can be served from any of Barr's U.S. locations. Barr may considera remote working arrangement based on candidate qualifications. Fulfillment ofthe positon responsibilities will require periodic travel.This person will work with federal, state, and local governmentofficials; non-governmental organizations and regulatory staff; resourcemanagers; other industry representatives; technical and informationresource experts; and interested and concerned citizens. They will also beresponsible for business development activities, including developingrelationships with key clients, seeking opportunities to assist theseclients with permitting projects, and preparing proposals for such work.This person will also work with multidisciplinary project teams to manage andsupport the development of environmental review documents and permitapplications. Tasks may also include managing environmentalsurveys/assessments (archaeological/historical, threatened andendangered species, wetland delineations, inventories, and functionalassessments); developing regulatory strategies with clients; andconsulting and negotiating with regulatory agencies. Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental policy,natural resources management, environmental engineering, or related field15 years of experience directly related to environmental review and permittingprojectsProven ability to lead, organize, and direct multidisciplinary teamsExperience managing projects and teamsBusiness development experienceKnowledge of and experience with NEPA regulations and processesKnowledge of and familiarity with federal and state regulatory agency staff,resource managers, and other government officialsExperience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentStrong oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate ina consultative manner with project team members and clientsDemonstrated skills and abilities in negotiation, problem-solving,attention to detail, accuracy and producing high-quality deliverables,project organization and management, fulfilling commitments on schedule andmeeting deadlines, mentoring and training staff in preparing effectivedocuments and applications, building strong working relationships, leadingand participating in multidiscipline teamsSelf-initiative and motivat
