Matrix Design group, Inc., an employee-owned planning, engineering,and environmental consulting firm is actively searching for a Project Engineerto join our Structural Services group in our Denver office.Summary:Responsible for providing engineering support to department by assisting withparts of engineering projects. Discipline involves the application ofstructural theories, including the calculation and distribution of loads,stresses resulting from loads, and strength of materials, such as for thedesign or construction of vertical structures, bridge and tunnel design andconstruction, seismic analysis of structures, and inspection and conditionrating of bridges.Essential Functions: Work within defined scope, schedule and budget parameters of task assigned. Communicate as appropriate to project engineer and project teamconcerning questions, concerns, progress and results Support department and other disciplines and locations as necessary Support the proposal writing, cost estimating, and client managementprocess as necessary Support business development activities and maintenance of positiveclient relationshipsCompetencies: Ability to take direction and work independently as well as effectivelycollaborate with teams. Knowledgeable in standard CAD and structural software products Knowledgeable in structural design codes Strong verbal, written and presentation skills. Good technical writing skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Education and Experience: Undergraduate or graduate degree from accredited program incivil/structural engineering. Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
