Role Summary:

The Rod Lift Technical Managers are the individuals with the ultimate technical responsibility for the applications in their basins involving Rod Lift. This individual understands the unique fields, formations, and production challenges. They shall be well versed in S-Rod RLS design package and product technologies. The TM is always seeking technical solutions to improve customers run time and seeks to understand the latest developments in their basin as well as the newly developed Rod Lift System (RLS) product technologies. They aspire to be viewed by the organization as someone who can efficiently and effectively solve the most challenging Rod Lift System (RLS) application issues in their areas.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Complete equipment designs/sizings for Districts and Rod Lift Customers utilizing specific design packages.

  • Modeling and predictive analysis

  • Close interaction with sales team and client base.Advises sales personnel, customers and potential customers on the technical issues that affect the installation or sales of the various Artificial Lift products

  • Data acquisition and analytics of RMA key operating Basins

  • Become proficient on Competitive Differentiation

  • Provides support to operations and manufacturing while assisting sales personnel in the preparation of bids and presentations

  • Meets with customers to develop and design products and services

  • May train customers and/or field personnel on new products

  • Requires travel to area operations locations

  • Identifies new product opportunities and development strategies

  • Interfaces with product line management and local management to support direction and strategies to best capture market opportunities

  • Clear lines communication between Electrical Submersible Pump l(ESP) and Rod Lift System (RLS) Business’s

  • High-level knowledge about technology and proper application of artificial lift solutions.

  • Excellent verbal and written skills

  • Ability to solve substantially difficult problems of complex nature and broad scope


  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering preferred, other technical degrees considered) with 2+ years of experience with an Artificial Lift system in an Operations/Engineer environment

  • High School diploma with 5+ years of experience with an Artificial Lift System in an Operations/Engineer environment

  • Must have experience with working with internal and external customers

  • Proficient use of computer-based programs (related to application of products.

  • Extensive skill with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
