This is anexciting time to join our team!The Senior Highway Engineer will:Perform engineering design tasks for roadway projects from preliminary tofinal designDevelop specifications, cost estimates, and prepare final bid packagesEstablished working relationships and contact with client technical staff andproject managers especially in CDOTProvide engineering design services for traditional design-bid-buildprojects, Construction Manager at Risk and design-build highway projectsMentor and assist junior engineers in developing final design plans,including but not limited to roadway, , drainage, and traffic designCoordinate design activities and meetings between design staff,subcontractors, and client managersParticipate in project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost andscheduling performanceIdentify schedule and cost variances and develop and implement recommendationsfor corrective actionParticipate in project by completing tasks within schedule and budget withteams comprised of different disciplinesMinimum QualificationsBachelor Degree in Civil EngineeringProfessional Engineering (PE) License registered in Colorado or theability to obtain registration within 6 monthsAt least 10 years of progressive engineering experience possessing a broadknowledge and experience in transportation/design and strong technicalskills in highway designExperience working with CDOT is requiredFull and in-depth familiarity with MicroStation and InRoadsProject management skills such as, schedule management, financialmanagement and effective written/verbal communications skills is a plusPreferred QualificationsProject management skills such as, schedule management, financialmanagement and effective written/verbal communications skillsLife at Gannett FlemingFor more than 100 years, we've been a leader in global infrastructuresolutions with a focus on planning, design, technology, and constructionmanagement services for a diverse array of markets and disciplines.
