Olsson Water Resources Project Engineer in Denver, Colorado

Inspired people, amazing designs, and projectswith purpose.Job DescriptionOlsson takes on anything from backyard flooding problems in a community to thecomplex challenges presented with watershed management, irrigationdistricts, and recreational facilities. As a Water Resource Engineer, youwill provide various engineering and project management duties related toevaluating, designing, and constructing projects. You may assist withdeveloping the project scope and schedule, project documentation, andreviewing shop drawings. Travel may be needed to job sites for observation inall types of terrain and weather conditions, as well as project sites invarious stages of construction. Opportunities to mentor younger or lessexperienced staff may be available along with client relations.QualificationsYou are passionate about:Working collaboratively with othersHaving ownership in the work you doUsing your talents to positively affect communitiesYou bring to the team:Serve as project manager for water resource engineering design projectsDegree in civil or environmental engineeringLicensed Colorado Professional Engineer, or ability to obtain within 6 months8-15 years of related full-time water resources engineering consultingexperienceAbility to contribute and work well on a teamStrong communication skillsAbility to lead an engineering design team in completing technical tasksExperience in preparing and evaluating hydraulic and hydrologic models usingSWMM, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, or other relevant modeling programsExperience in AutoCAD Civil 3D or other related software experience.Passion for detailed workDesire to lead and mentor junior engineerAdditional InformationOlsson is a nationally recognized, employee-owned firm specializing inplanning and design, engineering, field services, environmental, andtechnology.
