Asa Project Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to guidetechnical teams through project execution for our products and services.These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronicsystems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space explorationsystems. You'll perform complex engineering design evaluations, workingto ensure our projects are completed within budget and scheduling constraintsand taking action to resolve issues when they arise. IAS tailors solutionsto customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs toconsistently exceed expectations and provide a turnkey approach to enable ourcustomers to focus on their mission.Must-haves:Bachelor's of Science degree in a related field of study andtypically 10years or more of relevant experienceThorough knowledge of engineering principles and practicesExperience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teamsUnderstandingof requirements management, system design, integrationAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance is requiredPreferred:Experienceto leading a multi-disciplinary design and development team andcommunicating with program management and customers.Familiarity with preparation and development of project estimates, technicalproposals, and program cost and schedule management.Past history of leading baseline definition and maturation in a complexdevelopment setting, including the use of highly integrated trade studiesand analysis of alternativesAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics, partslists, specifications, instructions and test proceduresProfessional Certification in Program Management International (PMI)and/or Program Management Professional (PMP)Experience or certification in INCOSE standardsBackground in the Aerospace and Defense IndustryImportant Notice:This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S.Security Clearance.
