DescriptionJob SummaryOversees the certification and structural substantiation of various FAA andDOD systems including the integration of patient loading systems, crewseating, oxygen systems, suction systems, internal and externallighting, complete avionics integration of cockpits, ICS systems andantenna locations. Responsible for estimating the headcount requirements andmanagement of direct reports to meet the quoted hours for each project as wellas the budget set forth by the Director of Engineering.Essential Function and Responsibilities include the following:Focal point for all STC certification, FAA field approvals, Qualificationplans/programsDefine and develop department resource requirements for certification andStructural engineering, including staffing and communicate with Director ofEngineering and engineering team. This includes software and computerrequirementsPoint of Contact (POC) for all certification communication andcoordination with FAA ACO, DERs, AMC ODA, and all United RotorcraftdepartmentsResponsible for the production of data packages and certification plans forsubmittal to FAA or AMC ODA.Assist with development of departmental procedures to obtain and maintain FAAcertificationResponsible for the production of procedures, service letters,instruction/repair guides and kits.Assists with department communications, meetings, special assignments andactivities associated with FAA regulations.Maintain awareness and communication of all new FAA regulations and actionsthat would affect United Rotorcraft and our customers.Coordinate aircraft certification activity with Air Methods Repair Stationpersonnel as required.Other duties as assignedAdditional Job RequirementsRegular scheduled attendanceIndicate the percentage of time spent traveling - 5%Subject to applicable laws and Air Method's policies, regular attendanceis an essential function of the position.
