Aerotek Mechanical Engineer (Oil & Gas) in Englewood, Colorado
Aerotek Energy is seeking a mid level Mechanical Engineer to assist on Oil & Gas projects at national Engineering firm. About 25%-35% travel required for role.
Responsibilities:
Travel to remote compressor stations, capture piping and instrumentation data
Convert hand marks and notes into legible files for designer to convert into CAD drawings
Complete second site visit to physically verify CAD drawing
Communicate notes to designer from any second or more field visits
Plan schedule, conduct and coordinate work requiring judgement in the independent evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard engineering techniques, Procedures and criteria
Coordinate departmental and divisional project studies and report preparation assignments
Education/Experience requirements:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical engineering
must have FE
At least 3 years mechanical engineering experience
Understanding of piping and its components (identify difference between a ball valve and a gate valve)
Ability to understand and read p&iDs
Must be willing to travel to remote sites for data capture and gathering (up to 7 days)
