Aerotek Mechanical Engineer (Oil & Gas) in Englewood, Colorado

Aerotek Energy is seeking a mid level Mechanical Engineer to assist on Oil & Gas projects at national Engineering firm. About 25%-35% travel required for role.


  • Travel to remote compressor stations, capture piping and instrumentation data

  • Convert hand marks and notes into legible files for designer to convert into CAD drawings

  • Complete second site visit to physically verify CAD drawing

  • Communicate notes to designer from any second or more field visits

  • Plan schedule, conduct and coordinate work requiring judgement in the independent evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard engineering techniques, Procedures and criteria

  • Coordinate departmental and divisional project studies and report preparation assignments

Education/Experience requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical engineering

  • must have FE

  • At least 3 years mechanical engineering experience

  • Understanding of piping and its components (identify difference between a ball valve and a gate valve)

  • Ability to understand and read p&iDs

  • Must be willing to travel to remote sites for data capture and gathering (up to 7 days)
