See Terracon's Safety Response to Covid-19 belowJob DescriptionGeneral Responsibilities:Provide engineering and consulting services for a broad array of environmentalprojects and clients. This may include performing and/or leadingenvironmental site investigations, engineering analysis, calculations andrecommendations, design and development of plans and specifications,observation and inspection, and the writing, preparation, and review ofrelated reports for the services provided. Identify, evaluate and recommendrisk and remediation strategies/designs to ensure compliance with federal,state and local regulations. Prepare applicable permit applications, riskassessments and technical documents including proposals, reports andregulatory agency correspondence. Design systems and environmental protectionplans. Apply sound engineering principles and be able to communicate complexengineering issues and concepts to technical and non-technical clients andproject teams. Services may include Phase I/II environmental siteassessments, ecological and natural resource field surveys, tank closureassessments, asbestos abatement, storm water management, and site planning andEssential Roles and Responsibilities:Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participatein pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.Mid-level, experienced environmental engineering professional responsiblefor managing and executing site testing and making recommendations for systemsdesign on medium projects. Projects may involve a variety of complexfeatures.Performs site visits, field observations and field data collection orassignments.Evaluates moderately complex to complex laboratory and field data andassembles in written reportsImplements technical requirements to complete client projects by directing andsupervising field staff to sample, test and collect data and/or documentsite activities.Works closely with senior-level project manager and Professional Engineer ofRecord to gain project management and engineering experience.Prepares proposals and reports and outlines investigations for approval bysenior level professionals.Serves as a technical adviser to junior-level project team members.May supervise field staff including field engineers, environmentalscientists and technicians.Interacts with client and project team in developing scope of services andcommunicating project progress.Works under the supervision of a Professional Engineer. Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering orrelated degree.Minimum 3-5 years' experience.Master's degree in Engineering preferred.Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Engineering Intern (EI) required andability to obtain a registration as a Professional Engineer (PE).Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
