Sr. Technical Specialist- Engine and Combustion Simulation Testing Engineer

Our client is seeking an Sr. Technical Specialist- Engine and Combustion Simulation Testing Engineer in Fort Collins, CO.

The individual selected for this position will operate in a highly technical and dynamic environment where the most advanced technologies are further developed to create unique solutions benefitting environmental emissions and energy consumption while reducing operating costs. •Develop simulation strategies and expected results.

•Conduct & guide engine combustion CFD, thermal FEA and 1-D simulations.

•Support engine performance & emissions validation testing.

•Analyze & interpret results and develop customer technical reports.


•Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) or higher degree (PhD) preferred, with emphasis in engine combustion, heat transfer and 1-D numerical simulations.

•Specialist in engine performance/emissions and combustion simulations/testing.

•Five to ten years of experience in related industry highly valued.



•Ability to write technical presentations and articles for publication.

•Ability to effectively present information to top management, customers, and technical forums.

•Ability to effectively interact, guide, mentor and grow junior talents with well-prepared fundamental technical arguments.

•Ability to address complex inquiries from customers and develop project proposal.


•Ability to resolve problems related to highly complex mathematical and numerical models.


•Ability to highly contribute in a “teamwork” environment, requiring flexibility, open mindedness, admission of mistakes and conflict resolution.

•Ability to consistently demonstrate positive influence on others.
