AceInfo is currently seeking a Systems Engineer to support our federal project, in Fort Collins, CO. Candidate must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust from the Federal Government.

The candidate will implement system development tasks to include design, integration, and implementation of automation scripts, continuous integration/delivery, and monitoring solutions. Develops and documents system specifications, technical and logistical requirements, and other disciplines. Create and maintain programmatic and technical documentation to ensure efficient planning, testing and execution of the solutions. Perform planning, validation, engineering, and verification activities. Oversee all transitions into production, including working directly with the hosting center. Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, research, and solution definition studies to evaluate compliance of specifications with customer requirements. May lead teams in performing verification and validation analyses of the operational environment. May analyze effectiveness of program procedures and processes and develop or recommend improvements. May prepare presentations, reports, research, and other project deliverables.

  • Assist with software and hardware management, inventory, installations, configurations, and connectivity.

  • Maintain computer security in accordance with the Federal NIST standards.

  • Design, Configure, Operate, manage, administer and maintain an IT development environment.

  • Back-up support for administering database (Oracle, Postgres)

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, administer, upgrade and use server system hardware, VMs and Docker containers.

  • Analyze requirements and determine best fit architecture

  • Design and build solutions that are generic, scalable and reusable

  • Collaborate with other engineers to develop deployment and maintenance strategies for existing and new services

  • Analyze and troubleshoot problems within DevOps tools

  • 3+ years of experience in the field or related area

  • 3+ Experience in systems design in field or related area.

  • Experience with following technologies:

o RedHat Linux

o UNIX

o Apache or equivalent technology

o JBoss

o Saltstack

o Git

o Maven

o Artifactory

  • Familiarity with deploying, configuring and troubleshooting JEE apps

  • Cloud Services

o Server provisioning

o Virtual network management

o Routing

o Firewall management

o Storage management

  • Strong skills with database (Oracle, Postgres) administration and monitoring in a container based environment

  • Familiarity with deploying, configuring and troubleshooting J2EE apps

  • Strong scripting/development skills. Python, shell scripting preferred

  • Basic understanding of API's and web services. REST and JSON experience is preferred

  • Experience with logging configuration and analysis. Splunk experience is a plus

  • Experience in working with SCM, CI and CD workflows and tools (Git, Jenkins,, Maven)

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor degree – Computer Science or related area
