Weare currently seeking a Water Resources Lead in our Fort Collins, CO office.What You'll Do:Our Fort Collins Water Resources program focuses on science-based analysis andsustainable design for projects including flood risk management, stream andenvironmental rehabilitation/restoration, scour and mitigation design,floodplain mapping, fish passage design, aquatic habitat improvement,debris flow analysis, and dam and levee safety.We are in search of a new senior team member to join our family of engineersand scientists with an interest in being a leader in our program through soundproject management, technical analysis and mentorship, and businessdevelopment. To support these efforts, the position requires experience in awide variety of challenging and complex hydrologic, hydraulic, andsediment transport analyses and modeling. Additional projects the position cansupport include floodplain management (levee design, certification andinspection; floodplain mapping; and restoration of floodplainconnectivity), stream restoration design (fluvial geomorphology,sediment-transport, hydrology/hydraulics, channel design, constructionoversight), scour (channel and bridge scour analysis and mitigationdesign), dam safety (probable maximum flood analysis, fish passagedesign (culverts, channels, structures), dam break analysis,inundation mapping and preparation of emergency action plans), watershedmanagement, and determination/mitigation of water resources project impacts.You will get to work directly with our highly technical civil and hydraulicengineers, geomorphologists, biologists and environmental scientistslocated here in Colorado. You will also have the opportunity to coordinatewith other Water Division offices throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico as wellas have direct collaboration of business pursuits within the Central Region(Colorado and New Mexico offices). Technical Services provided to ourclients include the planning, analysis, engineering and design associatedwith flood risk management and environmental restoration projects.Job Responsibilities:Act as program/project manager and/or provide senior level technical rolesfor select projects and programs in the area of planning, analysis,engineering and/or design associated with flood risk management andenvironmental restoration projects.Develop and manage top-tier client relationships in the water resourcesindustry.Contribute to successful business development and strategic planning effortsto increase market share in priority markets.Participate in expanding our client base, helping to develop exciting newfrontiers.Manage the financial aspects of a broad range and scale of projects.Supervise and delegate work to junior level professionals as necessary tomanage tasks within larger complex projects.Mentor and train professional/technical staff.Work with a multidisciplinary team including geotechnical and structural.engineers, geomorphologists, biologists, planners; as well as otherhydraulic and water resources engineers.Provide meaningful input to firm leadership regarding excellence inprofessional, technical, and business practices.Promote a safety conscious work environment.Desired Qualifications:Master's degree in either engineering or related sciences with at least 15years of progressive experience in the water resources industry.Professional Engineer license required.Track record in identifying opportunities and developing successful strategiesto win targeted business development pursuits.Experience with 1-D and 2-D steady and unsteady hydraulic modeling(HEC-RAS, SRH-2D, RAS-2D, FLO-2D, and similar).Experience with Sediment Transport analysis and modeling.Experience/familiarity with fluvial g
