This is a tremendous opportunity for the rightperson!We offer competitive wages and a full benefits package including medical,dental, life, disability insurance, 401(K), paid holidays, paidvacation/personal time, and an employee car discount program.ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:Participate in client meetings and be a part of the sales-quoting process.Develop specifications for various types of specialty vehicles across a widerange of industries.Work with production to assist with material sourcing, definingspecifications for various componentry which could include HVAC, lighting aswell as many different types of finish materials.Produce vehicle drawings in Solidworks ensuring all customer specificationsare met.Define detailed design drawings to support assembly, cabinet-woodshopcomponents, make to print parts (metal fab internal and external), BOMcreation and revision control, ECO creation and approval for changes.Resolve manufacturing shop floor questions and issues as required.Drive component reuse and standardization and cost reduction for specialtyvehicles.Other duties as assigned.WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL ABILITIES:Requires frequent sitting, standing, balancing, bending or stooping forprolonged periods of time.Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate akeyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment.Ability to communicate by providing verbal feedback in a professional manner.Ability to receive and analyze data and input into the computer.Normal range of hearing and vision.PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience2-3 years of Solidworks experience or a Solidworks certificationDesign/Build experience in an automotive environment or related field a plusFiberglass experience strongly preferredBill of materials creation experienceERP Experience a plusCabinet-woodworking design experience a plusLean background a big plusAutomotive knowledge and/or experience a plus!Compensation DOE/QAbility to successfully pass a General Abilities Assessment and Post-offerbackground check, physical and drug screening.Date posted 11-13-2020All qualified applications will receive consideration for employment withoutregard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, genderidentity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.Transwest is an equal opportunity employer.
