APTIM Civil/Mechanical Engineer in Greenwood Village, Colorado
APTIM is seeking entry level/new graduates Engineers for our work in the Aviation fuels program. Work will be a mixture of office support and field work supporting military and commercial fueling distribution facilities.
Candidates will experience the full evolution of construction projects including bidding, project planning, and field execution. Engineers perform a variety of engineering work in the initial planning and design phases of projects. Engineers interface and coordinate activities between home office engineering and field construction supervision. Additionally, they may support procurement, system turnover, and commissioning. Candidates will contribute on multiple projects simultaneously. Performs other duties as required.
The Company will provide all applicable training and reimburse all approved travel required by the project. Candidates must have a valid driver license and a clean driving record. Candidates must provide appropriate attire for both field work (safety steel-toed boots) and office attire (business casual).
Coordinate internally with other execution disciplines and external suppliers both within Company prescribed policies/procedure and/or direction from the project manager
Review and interpretation of project specifications, preparation of project drawings and scope of work documents and completion of construction inspection.
Prepare a variety of technical documents including drawings, specifications, calculations, procedures and reports.
Complete requests for information (RFI), submittal review and materials selection activities.
Observes and ensures construction practices as required for compliance of construction operations/execution with federal, state, and local codes, industry standards, company procedures, and contractual requirements
Gather approved required documents and information to support the successful completion of relevant construction activities/requirements.
Gather productivity data for pipeline install, earthwork, concrete work and other activities to support estimating activities.
Degree: Civil or Mechanical Engineering
Previous internships or other related work preferred
FE and EIT candidates preferred
Must be a US Citizen to gain access to government facilities
