Job Summary

AECOM’s Water Business Unit is seeking a Senior Civil Designer for immediate employment in the Greenwood Village (Denver), Colorado office. This is a technical role and will include working with engineers and project managers on a variety of projects within Water Resources, and Transportation markets.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Grading design and earthwork calculations

  • Prepare digital terrain models

  • Prepare construction plans and design details using Autodesk Civil3D

  • Understanding of geospatial coordinate systems

  • Managing multiple deadlines and projects concurrently

  • Managing CAD standards

Coordination with multiple disciplines

Minimum Requirements

  • 2-year Associates degree or equivalent

  • 9+ years of relevant design experience within civil infrastructure and civil site design with an emphasis in Grading, Civil site Design

  • Strong proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and plan set assembly

  • Must have experience developing alignments, profiles, surface modeling, cross sections, grading design and drainage design

  • Must have experience completing project drawings within scope, budget and schedule

  • Must have experience managing plan sets for large projects

  • Experience managing data references throughout the duration of projects, from preliminary design and alternative analysis to final design and construction

  • Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • ArcGIS experience

  • MicroStation InRoads and OpenRoads experience

  • Civil design including site grading, pipe network, utility design

  • Familiar with BIM concepts and workflow
