Position will be located in Tampa, Florida;Fort Worth, Texas; or Denver, Colorado.What you'll do: As part of our team, you will use your site modelingexperience of facilities relating to water, wastewater, recycled water,utility infrastructure, conveyance and process modifications to providemulti-discipline engineering and environmental solutions to the firm'smunicipal and industrial sector clients.Your responsibilities will include:Create 3D models and layouts from design concepts using advanced CADapplications like C3D and/or OpenRoads.Under general direction, perform advanced drafting and design tasks inaccordance with company, client and industry standards.Coordinate mid to large, multiple and/or complex projects with otherengineering disciplines to assist in the delivery of construction documentsmeeting scope, schedule and budget.Communicate with supervisor, senior designers and engineers regarding taskexecution.Perform engineering calculations, research vendor data, check for codecompliance.Apply company software and IT tools in a consistent and coordinated mannerwith other project team members.Identify conflicts in design and communicate solutions with PMs.Review the work of others when needed prior to delivery to internal client.Provide input on budget expectations for task assignments; track and managebudgets for multiple staff on a mid to large-sized project.Serve as CAD Lead on mid to large-sized projects.Work with the Design Delivery Manager, Operations Manager and CivilDiscipline Lead to set technical standards and best practice guidelines forCivil Design.Serve as technical resource for CAD and BIM staff. Coordinate and lead processimprovement initiatives.Provide training and ongoing education to all team members on Civil DesignDelivery workflow and best practices.Participate in the recruitment and hiring of Design Delivery staff.What you'll need:At least 13 years of experience with site modeling and pipeline plan/profiledevelopment.Ability to use various drafting and design related software including, butnot limited to, AutoCAD, C3D, Infraworks, MicroStation, OpenRoads,ProjectWise, Bluebeam REVU, Microsoft Products.Knowledge to create and edit parts catalog and parts lists along with objectand label styles to suit company/client standards.Adequate understanding of land surveying, code requirements and industrystandards where applicable.Knowledge and understanding of site civil and site piping engineeringprinciples including grading, volumetric calculations, site layout,underground utility systems and pipe material behavior.Ability to interact, collaborate and communicate with project teams in apositive and proactive manner.Strong writing, editing and research skills.Ability to read and interpret engineering construction drawings.As an employee-owned firm, Kennedy Jenks offers a unique company culturewith a corporate commitment to a maintaining a positive work/lifeexperience.
