Protection and management of water resourcesstarts at the watershed level and follows the movement of water through urbanand agricultural areas, streams, lakes and reservoirs, waterdistribution systems, wastewater collection systems, andwater/wastewater treatDESCRIPTIONThe Surface Water Project Manager will deliver projects per agreed to plan,budget, program and quality. (S)He will lead, assign, and reviewwork of the project delivery team; check work and progress and identifychanges of scope and additional services. Staff mentorship and development isa responsibility of the Surface Water Project Manager, as well as thedevelopment and overseeing of budgets and schedules. The successful candidatewill cultivate and maintain client relationships as well as lead proposaldevelopment and interview preparation and participation. Additionally, thesuccessful candidate will provide technical direction, support and strategicplanning while being a visible and active member of the Surface Watercommunity through professional organization involvement.The Water Resources Project Manager will perform and manage projects in thefollowing disciplines: stream channel restoration design, ecosystemrestoration, watershed assessments, watershed planning studies, watersupply planning, storm water/drainage way master plans, storm drainagedesign, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, floodplain mapping studies,and floo* Develop and maintain trusted adviser relationships with key clients.* Determine direction and lead market awareness including involvement inprofessional associations, technical articles, conferences and boards.* Work with our Colorado Surface Water Managers and Practice Leaders in thedevelopment of targeted client service action plans.* Participate in ongoing strategic positioning for major storm water projectopportunities.* Manage client relationships and guide the application of Michael BakerInternational services within the Surface Water practice area to best servethe interests of the client and Michael Baker International.* Be responsible for successful contracting and project execution, workingclosely with regional Michael Baker International staff and office leadership.PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS* Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering* 10-15 years of Surface Water experience with increasing levels ofresponsibility* Colorado Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain Colorado PE* Knowledge of regulatory issues and key players in the Colorado surface watermarket.* Strong track record of executing projects and overseeing successful projectdelivery of a diversity of storm water projects for City, County and Stateagencies* Demonstrated supervisor and mentoring skills* Strong proposal writing and presentation skills* Entrepreneurial spirit to grow our Colorado Storm Water practice* Strong engineering judgment with strong background in Surface Water* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, public speakingability, and problem-solving skills* The capability to work in a dynamic environment and conduc
