Join us as an Aeronautical Engineer on the US NAVY Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program. You will work with a team of engineers in performing the following duties and functions. You will be responsible for performing a variety of analyses related to missile systems performance and functionality using various modeling and simulation methods. Analysis is focused on Range Safety, trajectory development, post flight analysis, and performance due to missile design changes. Maintenance and update of missile simulation software and supporting data set; writing or modifying software to support and perform specific analysis. This would include creating and maintaining software documentation (user's guides, model formulation, simulation design, etc.). Candidate will also be responsible for creating technical memos, providing feedback to data packages to support peer and customer reviews, and communicating analysis results to internal engineering teams, customer technical representatives, and Program Office personnel during technical exchange meetings. You will also provide support to the missile simulation’s user base, which includes, not only LM personnel, but various non-LM FBM contractors.

Basic Qualifications:

*Programming experience with MATLAB (or similar).

*Analytical experience

*Final Secret Clearance required

Desired Skills:

*Experience programming in UNIX/LINUX operating

system (O/S) environment

*Knowledge of missile trajectory performance

*Knowledge of missile subsystem inter-dependencies

*Understanding of trajectory modelling and analysis

*Understanding of 3 degree of freedom and 6 degree

of freedom dynamics as they relate to aerospace

vehicles

*proficiency and knowledge of FORTRAN (or

similar)

*Strong programming experience (FORTRAN, C/C++)

*Microsoft Office Proficiency
